Research Focus

I am a Bioinformatician and Geneticist, studying microbial ecosystems through integrated multi-omics. My research centers on leveraging advanced computational techniques to unravel the intricate relationships between the microbiome and host physiology, with the goal of understanding complex biological systems and their impact on human health. By enhancing my expertise in image processing, particularly in segmentation techniques, I aim to improve the accuracy of data analysis and interpretation, which is essential for advancing our understanding of these biological systems. In planned proposal, I am especially excited to explore how environmental factors shape gut microbiomes in the Pomerania region. The objective of this project is to uncover the dynamic interactions between external influences and internal biological processes. This data-driven, longitudinal study will not only track gut microbiota variations over time but also provide a holistic picture of how various stressors in the exposome affect overall health.
