We are always looking for skilled coworkers at the Institute of Bioinformatics at University Medicine Greifswald. We encourage anyone to apply who is currently involved or is highly motivated to get involved in research in systems biology, bioinformatics, machine learning, statistics and mathematical modeling applied to questions from molecular biology and medicine. Postdoctoral Scientist (E14 payscale) for Bioinformatics of Cancer Sequencing
Available immediately, Full-time position (E14 pay scale), fixed-term for 24 months with possibility of extension
Your Responsibilities
- Development of deep sequencing data analysis pipelines.
- Analysis of routine sequencing data from the Comprehensive Cancer Center, preparation of Sequencing Reports for Molecular Tumor Board.
- Participation in genom.de and CCC-MV research projects, collaboration with clinical and oncological groups in Greifswald and at Universitsy Medicine Rostock
- Establishment of an independent research program in tumor bioinformatics
- Perspectively establish and lead a cancer sequencing subgroup at the Institute of Bioinformatics and the CCC MV.
Requirements
- Good PhD degree in bioinformatics or related field
- Experience in deep sequencing data analysis
- Willingness to collaborate with clinical groups.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across disciplines with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

We have always openings for Diploma, Bachelor and Master Thesis projects, and encourage students interested in one of the research areas of the group to apply.
